A different way to hold the 34th Ophthalmology Congress at the Iran Mall International Exhibition and Conference Center; With the change in scientific approach in light of economic challenges, the 34th Iranian Ophthalmology Congress was held this year in a different space and in an exhibition and scientific environment; The combination of science, interaction and leisure time along with extensive facilities, a modern exhibition space and access to welfare and recreational services has made this year’s congress different from previous ones and a new experience for doctors and participants in the field of health and treatment, to the point that it has made Iran Mall Exhibition Center a serious option for holding scientific and research events in the future. According to the public relations of Iran Mall International Exhibition and Conference Center, on Tuesday, November 10, this center hosted the opening of the 34th Iranian Ophthalmology Congress with the presence of healthcare professionals and health enthusiasts. Dr. Sayed Hassan Ghazizadeh Hashemi, a member of the scientific and research board of the 34th Iranian Ophthalmology Congress, stated on the sidelines of this event that this event has fundamental differences from previous ones. />
He said: “This year, significant changes have been made to the structure of the programs;
The scientific programs have become more diverse and more opportunities have been provided for the participation of young colleagues. Also, in order to increase productivity, light meals have been replaced by heavy lunches so that participants can participate more effectively in scientific meetings in the afternoon.
The former Minister of Health and Medical Care described the Iran Mall exhibition space as a suitable space for interaction between participants and service providers, and acknowledged: Attending a national and international complex like Iran Mall is an opportunity to combine scientific activity with leisure time.
Therefore, the city colleagues and their families can benefit from the recreational facilities of this complex. Of course, the Razi Conference Center, where the program was held in the past, had some advantages, but the experience of holding it in Iran Mall is different and valuable.
He added about the situation of this year’s exhibition: “The presence of foreign companies in this year’s ophthalmology exhibition has been weak, and about 50 percent of the intermediary companies have also faced challenges due to sanctions or import problems.” In the end, he thanked all the executive factors, especially the unknown and behind-the-scenes forces in holding this exhibition and research event, and thanked God Almighty for providing this scientific opportunity and meeting his colleagues again.
This scientific gathering and exhibition, which will be held from November 10 to 13 at the Iran Mall International Exhibition and Conference Center, can be a turning point in improving the level of knowledge and skills of ophthalmologists in the country and provide a new path for improving the quality of medical services in the field of eye health.
