The CEO of Iranmal Exhibition Complex emphasized: “We must introduce dates to the world using higher capacities and new methods.”
Dr. Babai-Nejad stated at the opening ceremony of the 7th Bushehr National Date Exhibition that Bushehr province has very valuable capacities due to its location next to the Persian Gulf, and said: “These geographical conditions are the province’s greatest advantage in the field of exports, imports, and exploitation of vast marine resources. The use of modern technologies can pave the way for the proper utilization of the Persian Gulf’s water resources to nourish and irrigate date palm groves.”
Referring to the holding of the date exhibition, he added: “Dates, as a valuable God-given resource, play an important role in economic development and the creation of a specialized industry in Bushehr province. I learned from the provincial officials that good plans are being implemented to develop this sector, and I hope they will be realized in the shortest possible time. Also, the active presence of the private sector can be a strong support in this direction.”
The CEO of Iran Mall Exhibition Complex continued: “The service chain related to the date product, from production and technology to processing and value-added creation, must be strengthened, and dates must be taken out of the traditional mold and considered with a modern perspective, from production technology to packaging. Although product marketing is carried out at the provincial level, it is not enough and its presence must be more prominent in the capital and other economic centers of the country; Because there is a possibility of more effective marketing alongside related processing industries.” He stated: “The date product has the capacity to participate in larger exhibitions, especially in the international arena.” Finally, Dr. Babainejad announced the readiness of the Iran Mall exhibition complex to host the capacities of the date industry and said: “We are ready to showcase the capabilities of this industry in the Iran Mall complex and we believe that by utilizing higher capacities, Iranian dates can be introduced in a worthy manner at the global level.”
