Since they began their business a decade ago by importing laboratory kits, they have been dreaming of significant growth and progress. Now, relying on advanced infrastructure, development of production lines and international standards, they have become one of the main producers of biochemical kits in Iran and are proud to be among the top four brands in the country and have a significant share of the country’s laboratory market.
Sephvand, who is the sales manager of this complex, says: “Product development and entering regional markets is our main goal.” Referring to the company’s ten-year history in importing and producing biochemical kits under the “Dialab” brand, he said: “Today, Farasamed is on the path to better responding to the needs of the domestic and foreign markets by focusing on technology development, increasing product diversity and improving production processes.”
He added: “The company, relying on technical capacities and young experts, has serious plans to be present in regional and international markets, and the goal is to gain a significant share of the regional market in the near future.”
Farasamed engineers say that more than ten years ago, the company’s activities The company started by importing biochemical kits from Austria; however, sanctions and the company’s technical capabilities led the company to focus on domestic production. Starting production with HDL and LDL kits paved the way for the company to become a knowledge-based company. Currently, Farasamed produces more than 30 biochemical test kits and, by obtaining official licenses, has been able to set up two production units in Pardis Technology Park, and the second factory will be operational in less than two years.
According to company officials, production infrastructure including automatic filling lines, a water production system approved by the Food and Drug Administration, and standard equipment have enabled Farasamed to successfully pass most of the stringent licensing and periodic inspections. They emphasize: Despite the complexities of existing licenses and bureaucracy, the company’s strong infrastructure has made the licensing process go through with minimal challenges.
Farasamad managers say that the company, which had only 25 employees at the beginning, now operates with more than 160 employees and that the development process has not stopped even during the peak of the Corona pandemic. The complex now has four buildings in Tehran and three factories outside Tehran and, according to officials, is progressing every day.
However, Farasamad’s continued development path, like other laboratory activists, is facing liquidity problems in government hospitals and difficulty in collecting receivables; however, the development process and new investments in the company continue.
Knowledge-based activists announced that Farasamad has succeeded in obtaining a device production license and the relevant production line is entering the country. According to them, the “Minway” company, one of the leading global brands in medical and laboratory equipment, has approved and welcomed the joint cooperation after visiting Farasamad’s infrastructure. This cooperation is now expanding in the areas of finance, technology, science and knowledge transfer. Request to support domestic production Company officials emphasize that the field of pathology is one of the most fundamental sectors of society’s health and domestic producers are working hard to meet the country’s needs.
They say: “Our expectation from the laboratory community, pathology specialists and officials is that the efforts of Iranian companies are seen. Our goal is not only economic activity; we are trying to meet the real need in this field.”
